Thai Jasmine Rice: Rice of The Year

Rice is a popular dish in many of the Asian Culture which have grown its popularity all around the globe in last few years. Thai jasmine rice which is well popular for its fragrance and taste is one among these very popular rice varieties. Different from those of other varieties  of rice, Thai jasmine rice is known by its long and slender grain and distinctive fragrance. Available in two major varieties brown and white, brown jasmine rice is considered to be comparatively nutritious and healthier among these two varieties of Thai jasmine rice.
In 2017 at World Rice Conference organized in Macau, different chefs voted Thai jasmine rice to be the world's best rice among other different 21 varieties of rice. This is the fifth time in last nine years that Thai Jasmine rice has been awarded as the World's Best Rice. Thai Jasmine rice was awarded best in shape and the taste of the grain closely followed by other varieties from Cambodia and Laos.
Not only its taste and shape but Thai jasmine rice has numerous health and nutritious benefits which are comparatively superior to that of other varieties. Thai Jasmine rice is rich in Vitamins and fibers required by the body, along with minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus and DV. Also, insoluble fibers available in Thai jasmine rice helps to make it easily digestible and further helps in better flushing of food to institutes. Further Thai jasmine rice is often believed to help in the prevention of chronic disease such as cancer.
